About the Illustrator Eileen Slifer Eileen is a Delaware artist who resides in Newark. She offers a variety of artist’s services including commissioned portraits, caricatures, calligraphy, watercolors, illustrations, murals and custom framing. She also does live caricature drawing at parties and other events. Eileen has been involved in fine arts and custom calligraphy for over fifteen years, with hundreds of satisfied customers all over the United States. During the year 2006, Eileen illustrated The Model Maker. The story is inspired by her uncle's experiences during The Batttle of the Bulge and his current hobby of building World War II model planes out of clothespins and popsicle sticks. It was a project envisioned over several years and was finally brought to completion.
